About the class
Join travelling artist, Sarah Anderson, for this two-day, hands-on workshop diving (and carving) deep into the world of SGRAFFITO!
Get to grips with the combination of 2D imagery and 3D surfaces, learning how to effectively incorporate elements of color, texture, movement, and more to create truly eye-catching pieces! Accentuate your decorative style through the use of different surface design techniques - exploring how to use positive & negative space to create the illusion of depth. We'll also cover tips and tricks for underglaze application, how to decode and get the best results from your clay at various stages, and even more!
Kick off the weekend geting creative on paper and with clay tiles, before graduating to working with the surfaces of trown/handbuilt vessels on day 2.
Experience Requirement:
None! All you’ll need are some clothes you don't mind getting a little dirty and a good attitude!
