About the class

Instructor: Amy Kalra, OTR/L, CHT

Your hands do more than shape clay – they're an outlet for creativity and essential tools for life both in and outside of ceramics. If you’re regularly putting them to work, what might it look like to care for them as intentionally as you care for your pieces?

Join Amy Kalra - certified hand therapist, and ceramicist herself - for a gentle, hands-on workshop all about caring for your hands, wrists, and arms. Learn simple ways to support your body and keep creating comfortably for years to come.

What to Expect:

  • Tips on posture and ergonomics to protect your hands while at the wheel and worktable.

  • Pre- and post-throw routines to nurture and recover your hands and arms.

  • Signs to watch for that may need professional care.

  • Hands-on time with self-massage tools to help prevent strain.

There will also be time for questions and guidance about everyday hand care.

Whether you’re new to pottery or a seasoned thrower, this workshop is all about helping your hands stay healthy, happy, and ready to create.
