Exploring Professional Pottery

Morning Ceramics is incredibly excited to be hosting a brand new workshop series in collaboration with Aubrey Sloan of Vibrant Pottery.

This 12-week series will focusing on production, studio practice, and business foundations, and is designed for those who are:

• At the beginning of their professional career

• Ready to explore what it takes to transform their hobby into a more serious endeavor

• Looking for mentorship opportunities to amplify their skills and streamline the direction & growth of their ceramic business

• Looking to utilize the expertise and guidance of some of Portland’s most prolific and successful potters.

This workshop series will run from September 16 through December 2nd on Tuesdays from 6pm - 9pm.

Class includes 12 week mentorship with Aubrey Sloan, 6 exclusive guest talks from acclaimed Portland artists, clay, firing allowance, glazes, and a guaranteed spot in the Morning Ceramics Holiday Market.

Students also have full studio access during Open Studio Hours (up to 35 hours per week) to practice, design, and make independently.

• Studio Access: Our main entrance includes a set of steps. However, an alternative accessible entrance is available upon request.

• Transportation of Clay: The average weight of a new bag of clay is 25 pounds. We are prepared to assist if you require assistance with transporting heavier items.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel, please let us know 7 days before your class/workshop begins. We are unable to offer refunds, transfers, or exchanges within 7 days of the start of a class/workshop for any reason. Any refunds issued are subject to a 5% processing fee.
