Level Up: Lids!

Bolster your ceramic resume and add lidded forms to your tool belt with this concise 2-day workshop, led by Brett Wulc.

Delve into the creation of both traditional and unique forms - from moon jars to cookie jars, teapots to salt cellars, and any other lidded vessel your heart can dream up! We'll explore two of the most approachable, adaptable, and easy-to-recreate wheel throwing techniques, breaking down this often tricky skill into simple steps that will set you up to make consistent, cohesive pieces.

Students will have dedicated making time, spinning up a few base forms and as many matching lids as possible. Day two will be focused on trimming all of our goodies from day one, polising up their forms, fits, and adding decorative touches.

Firing for your two favorite lidded pairs is included with your seat, with options to keep more.

• Experience recommended: Wheel throwing basics or intermediate equivalent
• What to bring: Hand towel, apron, a notebook & pen, and calipers (available as a optional add-on)
• Schedule: Saturday Aug 31, 10am to 1pm (Throwing) & Sunday Sep 1, 10am to 1pm (Trimming)
