Mighty Fine Magnets

Turn your fridge into a gallery of your own unique handmade magnet creations! In this beginner-friendly, 3-hour workshop you will learn how to roll out your clay canvas, before designing, cutting, & polishing up your personalized shapes. We’ll take our little creations to the next level by combining underglaze + sgraffito (meaning “to scratch”) techniques that will make your designs pop!

This workshop is led by Celina Roseman Stilphen of Woven Earth Ceramics, whose work focuses on handbuilt sculptural and functional designs, inspired by nature. Celina encourages you to dive head first into your creative process and lean into any imperfections.

Students can go as in-depth as they’d like with designs, with a goal of creating 3-6 magnets, around 3" in size.

We’ll finish up drying, firing, glazing, and magnetizing(!) your collection for you -- ready to to take home, or gift to a loved one just a few weeks after the workshop!
