About the class

This 2 week mini-class will cover pipe-making off the hump! Throw as many pipes as you can, then choose your favs to alter and refine, ready for the soda kiln. Each student will have the opportunity to make up to 5 pipes to keep, ready in time for kicking back and relaxing as the holidays drift in.

  • Experience Requirement: Some previous throwing experience required — students should be comfortable throwing a strong cylinder.

  • 3 hours

    Week 1 (Dec 3): Pipe Making! Throwing off the hump & altering


  • 2 hours

    Week 2 (Dec 9): Glazing
