About the class
Instructor: Colin
Dissect the anatomy of the teapot with a modern dynamic approach in this 2 day technical workshop.
Constructing teapots is all about the functional combination of wheel thrown sections and handbuilt attachments. This workshop will break down each step of the process, looking at how to simplify the making while keeping a focus on creating clean, uniform sections that will come together as a sleek, sharp, and cohesive unit. Follow along with Colin's contemporary approach to shape and form, constructing your own Technical Teapot that will be fired, and glazed (optional) here at the studio, ready to pick up 4-6 weeks later.
Experience Requirement: Wheel throwing and handbuilding basics or intermediate equivalent
What to bring: Hand towel, apron, notebook & pen (recommended)
