Level up your wheel throwing game and get comfortable working larger on the wheel!

In this skills workshop, we’ll explore techniques like spiral wedging to get us started, and then move into effective and conscious use of our bodies aimed at making clay work with us, instead of against. We’ll cover tips for centering larger amounts of material, bodily awareness + leverage, and touch on common trouble areas like S-cracks and warping.

• Experience Recommended: Wheel throwing basics or intermediate equivalent
• What to Bring (Optional): Hand towel, apron, and notebook & pen.

Please note that this is a skill-building workshop and pieces made during this workshop are for practice. If you would like to keep any items made during this workshop, you may bring them back to the studio once they are bone dry for Outside Firing Services.
