Sgraffito & Mishima

Explore these two striking techniques to level up your surface decoration game. 

Sgraffito, and its counterpart Mishima, are two bold decoration methods based around intricate additive and subtractive design. Find out how to use wax, underglaze, slip, and other materials to create patterns that *pop*!

Students will build simple slab coasters in the workshop to practice on and can choose up to four (4) coasters to be fired + clear glazed by our studio technicians. Pieces will be ready for pick up 3-4 week later.

• What to Bring (Optional): Students are encouraged to bring their own leather-hard work to the class to practice on. Outside firing services available for additional firing.
• Experience Requirement: None!

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know 7 days before your class/workshop begins. We are unable to offer refunds, transfers, or exchanges, within 7 days of the start of a class/workshop for any reason. Any refunds issued are subject to a 5% processing fee.
